CCO, Blue Tribe
Sohil Wazir is the CCO (Chief Commercial Officer) of Blue Tribe- a DTC and HORECA based food tech company working on a mission to reinvent meat consuming methods in India. In his current position, Sohil is responsible for leading and scaling the sales, marketing, supply chain and finance. He is accountable for overseeing the overall operations and customer interface with the brand’s key product offerings to ensure that each functionality is in sync with its strategic, social and commercial objectives.
Sohil has over nine years of experience and expertise in the field of traditional trade, brand management, new-age e-commerce and digital marketing. After completing his B.Tech from Visvesvaraya National Institute Of Technology, Nagpur, he went on to pursue Marketing Management degree from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. Since his academic days, Soh il has been largely involved in managing cultural and technical festivals. His brilliant set of skills and management enthusiasm landed him an opportunity to work with Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited as a Management Trainee. Based on his hard work and result-driven actions, he was promoted to the position of Key Account Manager – E-Commerce within four years. In fact, before joining Mondelēz International in 2017 as Channel Expansion Manager- E-commerce, he was in the position of Senior Brand Manager at Colgate. With Mondelez, he was setting up and leading their Direct-to-consumer channel and also partnerships with gifting specialists and other white spaces.
Owing to his incomparable portfolio, working ethics and leadership skills, Sohil was awarded Best Area Manager 2014-15 by Colgate. He has also created a benchmark in the e-commerce industry by establishing the DTC model for Cadbury in India, making it the second global market to adopt the model. Now, he is setting up Blue Tribe’s business from scratch. His creative and analytical skills and extensive experience in the e-commerce industry are proving monumental for the growth of Blue Tribe.
As of now, Sohil is continuously working on expanding the reach of Blue Tribe at a pan India level. Through Blue Tribe, he strives to encourage a lifestyle change in non-vegetarian food lovers by offering plant-based meat products with similar taste, texture and cooking methods. He also aspires to make the brand the first and obvious choice of every Indian consumer willing to take a conscious decision towards healing the planet. Sohil also wants to ensure that the brand gets established as top retailers and perceived as sincere but fun providers.
Outside of work, Sohil is an avid fan of football and adores his dog. His love for animal safety goes beyond the professional front. (Want to keep away from animal orgs. Lot of bad press latey)
