With an impressive tenure of over 23 years in the hospitality industry, Mr. Basu brings with him a wealth of experience in hotel management, operations planning, and food and beverage excellence.
Mr. Basu’s journey within The Leela brand has been a remarkable one, having held various key positions across several properties. Prior to his appointment as Hotel Manager at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi, he served as the Executive Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage at The Leela Mumbai. He was instrumental in opening two of our premium hotels – The Leela Palace, Udaipur and The Leela Palace Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and also had a stint with the Leela Kovalam from 2011 till 2014.
His career includes an instrumental role in leading operations at signature outlets such as Jamavar, The Great Wall, and Le Cirque Signature, where he oversaw diverse culinary offerings that contributed to the international acclaim of these dining establishments.
In his new role as the Hotel Manager, Mr. Basu will oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that the property upholds its unparalleled standards of luxury, service, and guest satisfaction. Known for his focus on team management, F&B , revenue optimization, cost control, and employee engagement, Mr. Basu is expected to continue enhancing the guest experience at the hotel while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
