Saurabh Shrivastava is the owner of Mangosteen Eco Lifestyle in Indore, India. His vision, ideas, and resilience has helped turn a simple cafe he founded into a game-changing Lifestyle based Coworking Space. How does he make this happen? That is highlighted in his journey going back to 2nd year of his college when he realized his entrepreneurial skills. To purchase a gaming rig he couldn’t afford, he struck a deal with a local computer vendor to give it in return for CRM. Saurabh did not know how to code but he did know how to sell an idea. He with the help of three other people developed software that got the attention of multiple other local firms. This was the boost Saurabh needed to take the next step and open up his startup.
Saurabh founded his first Garage startup with his three friends in 2007. He rejected an offer from HCL and poured all of his time & effort into the Startup. Although short-lived, he gained a lot of experience and meaningful connections all around the country. This opened up the next step in his journey, Italy.
Saurabh in 2010 joined 4Square for a 6-month internship followed by freelance gigs in Asia, Australia & Europe. Unforeseen circumstances led him back to Indore. But he wanted to implement the 2 years of learning different cultures, mingling with businesses, thinkers, and creatives. On one night at the top of the terrace of his software firm, Saurabh and his friends decided to open a rooftop Cafe on the same terrace which is now a founding member of the startup culture of Indore.
Mangosteen Cafe named after a rare fruit and signifying that the brand will defy ages & live on was born on 6 March 2011. Saurabh with Mangosteen worked on the concepts of collaboration in the community, health-centric dieting, kick-ass partying, & creating an all-inclusive space. Saurabh has been at the forefront of growth in Indore speaking both in terms of culture & entrepreneurship. Known as the “PR” guy now, Saurabh has led startups to new heights and has created a name for himself as well as his Cafe.
