Varun Tuli, Managing Director of The Yum Yum Tree Group is a continuously innovating entrepreneur. He is an alumnus of St Columba’s School, New Delhi and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During his various travels across the world, he enjoys discovering new cultures via their cuisines. On his time off, he loves to experiment in the kitchen, with his icons and mentors being Thomas Keller, Alan Yau, and Ferran Adria. He is always looking for new ways and ideas to bring to life individual passions. In 2008, Varun decided to follow his passion and setup Yum Yum Tree, India’s first restaurant with the concept of conveyer belt sushi. For eight glorious years Delhites lined up at Yum Yum Tree for their legendary brunches, affordable prices and a cheesecake that was famous beyond the borders of New Delhi. In 2010, he set up Food Inc. Catering offering diverse cuisines. Yum Yum Cha came about in 2014, known for its origami-themed Pan-Asian dining, and Noshi-Yum Asian Delivery followed in 2016. Venturing into Dubai in 2018, Varun continued expanding, even amidst the pandemic. His lockdown hobby birthed Wheaty, the online bakery in 2020. Continuing to create a distinguished experience for all his customers, in the same year Mr. Tuli launched Pot Pot Yum Yum Indian Delivery delivering innovative Modern Indian cuisine. To further honour his love for food Mr. Varun Tuli launched tbsp.Tablespoon in 2021. Pot Pot – Yum Indian Dining came about in 2022 with the unprecedented love received for its delivery counterpart. Each venture, including his latest, reflects his passion and dedication, serving dishes brimming with love. Driven by his ambition to grow, he has expanded a lot more with recently opened outlets like Cyber Hub’s tbsp.Tablespoon and Noida- Mall of India’s Yum Yum Cha, while also revamping the Saket Yum Yum Cha in celebration of its 10th anniversary. He is a culinary genius here to stay, sharing his love for food with everyone.
