Rocky Mohan

For more than four decades, Rocky Mohan has been a distinctive voice in Indian cuisine—an author, television personality, culinary chronicler and creator of contemporary dining experiences. His journey began with Old Monk, but his passion lay in documenting and celebrating India’s culinary traditions.

Through books including The Art of Indian Cuisine, Kohinoor of Rice and Spice, Wazwaan: Traditional Kashmiri Cuisine and Rocky’s Table, he preserved regional knowledge, techniques and the stories behind Indian food. His television appearances on Rick Stein’s India and Gary Mehigan’s Masters of Taste brought these traditions to international audiences.

He later founded Gourmet Passport and, during the pandemic, Chef Pin—an ecosystem connecting India’s home chefs with diners and the hospitality industry. Today, his journey comes full circle with Rocky’s Table: The Art of Indian Cuisine, an intimate dining experience at his Delhi home, where multi-course menus, history and personal stories converge around his table.
