Sumit Govind Sharma is the Founder and Director of Monarch Liberty Hospitality (MLH), the company behind some of Mumbai’s standout hospitality brands – EVE, Que Sera Sera, TAT, and the latest upcoming venture known as Sorena.

Before entering hospitality, Sumit built a successful career in branding and business, servicing global names such as Mercedes-Benz, Diageo, and other leading brands. As a serial entrepreneur, he has spent over two decades building sustainable businesses with a sharp understanding of growth, consumer behaviour, and customer experience. Yet, despite the success of his ventures, he felt something was missing, the human connection that comes from creating spaces where people come together.

That search led him to hospitality, an industry that brought together his entrepreneurial mindset and his passion for crafting memorable experiences. What fascinated him most was hospitality’s ability to create moments that make people pause, connect, celebrate, and remember. His first hospitality venture, Eve Powai, was born from this belief, not from trends, but from a desire to build experiences that people genuinely want to return to.

What sets his entrepreneurial journey apart is his ability to identify emotional gaps in the market and transform them into meaningful, human-centric brands. Today, he leads Monarch Liberty Hospitality, focusing on creating unique culinary experiences and diverse dining concepts with the same emotion and care. Sumit’s strong background in marketing, coupled with his hands-on approach to hospitality, has enabled him to build a portfolio that perfectly balances distinct brand identity with discerning guest experience.

EVE, with locations in Powai, Worli and Santacruz, offers all-day dining with global flavours and a relaxed, laid-back charm. Que Sera Sera in Andheri brings European comfort classics to a warm, community-style space. TAT, in the heart of Vikhroli, celebrates authentic regional Indian cuisine with a focus on depth, craft and tradition. Sorena in Bandra, the latest addition to the Monarch Liberty Hospitality portfolio, is set to bring a bold and immersive dining and nightlife experience, blending high energy hospitality with strong design, cocktails, music, and atmosphere.
