Mr. Priyam K. Sinha, Managing Director of Kaffa House, spent 38 countries looking for a feeling he eventually realised he had to build himself. He had carried the idea of starting a café for years, shaped by the many cafés he experienced across his travels—the corner table he didn’t want to leave, the barista who remembered his order and the silence that didn’t need filling. He came home and tried to build that feeling himself. Kaffa is his ode to a bean that travelled from Ethiopia to Greece to India, carried by people who believed in it long before it became fashionable. He wanted to create a place with a point of view where the coffee has a story, the people have a role and every corner was fought for, not simply decorated. Kaffa House is, ultimately, a place worth returning to—a place to return to yourself.
